Why is this important ?

Essential oils are a concentration of hydrophobic liquids with volatile aroma compounds derived from plants.  It is those volatile aroma compounds that repel mosquitos and other biting insects.

what makes accuro different?

Accuro uses a specific combination of essential oils and stabilizers that have been combined in our patent pending formulation that was tested to work up to eight hours.

IS DEET & PICARIDIN SAFE?

Both are synthetic formulations and both are approved by the EPA and CDC as Safe.  However, we have seen over the years that any type of synthetic chemical can have damaging effects to our health the most recent example is the concern over Glysophate (or Roundup).   Glysophate was considered safe by the EPA and over 30 years later we are left with the concerns of its effects on our health and the health of our children.

Accuro uses materials that qualify it as a FIFRA 25(b) Minimum Risk Pesticide.

What is a minimum risk pesticide?

Because the EPA has determined that certain "minimum risk pesticides" pose little to no risk to human health or the environment, EPA has exempted them from the requirement that they be registered under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act.
